The 3-Day 2-Night Komodo Tour consistently ranks as our most booked package, and for good reason. It strikes the ideal balance between comprehensive park coverage and efficient use of your holiday time. While a day trip covers 3-4 highlights, this multi-day itinerary takes you to 10+ locations including both dragon islands, the best dive and snorkel sites, and exclusive overnight anchorages that day-trippers never see.
Two nights aboard a traditional phinisi liveaboard vessel transforms your Komodo visit from a sightseeing tour into an authentic maritime adventure. Waking up anchored in a secluded bay, diving into turquoise water straight from the boat deck, and falling asleep under a canopy of stars with only the gentle rocking of the ocean — these are experiences that define a truly memorable holiday.
The 3D2N tour operates year-round with daily departures during peak season (April-October) and 3-4 departures per week during low season. Minimum group size is 4 passengers for shared cruises, with no maximum limit for private charters. Guests should possess a moderate level of fitness for island hikes, though itineraries can be adjusted for those with mobility considerations.
We recommend arriving in Labuan Bajo the evening before your departure date to ensure a relaxed start. Our partner hotels offer comfortable pre-cruise accommodation, and we can arrange airport transfers on your arrival day. For guests flying from Bali, consider our all-inclusive 5-Day Bali-Komodo package that includes flights and hotel stays.
Depart Labuan Bajo at 8:00 AM after hotel pickup and harbor transfer. First stop is Rinca Island for a guided Komodo dragon trek through the island’s dramatic savannah landscape. After close encounters with the world’s largest lizards, continue to Pink Beach for snorkeling above pristine coral gardens and swimming in the surreal pink-tinged waters. Lunch is served on board as the vessel cruises to your afternoon snorkel spot at Taka Makassar or Siaba Island. The evening concludes with a sunset dinner at a scenic anchorage, followed by stargazing on the upper deck.
The second day is the crown jewel of the itinerary. After breakfast, cruise to Komodo Island itself — home to the largest and most impressive dragons in the park. The guided trek here covers longer distances through more diverse terrain, offering opportunities to see dragons in truly wild settings far from any human habitation. After trekking, head to the legendary Manta Point for one of nature’s most awe-inspiring encounters — swimming alongside graceful manta rays with wingspans of up to 5 meters. Afternoon options include diving at Crystal Rock or Batu Bolong (for certified divers) or additional snorkeling at Kanawa Island. The day culminates with a sunset hike at Padar Island, where the golden evening light creates the most spectacular photography of the entire trip. Return to the vessel for dinner at anchor beneath the stars.
Early risers are rewarded with a stunning sunrise from the boat deck or an optional sunrise viewpoint hike at Gili Lawa Darat — a lesser-known but equally beautiful alternative to Padar. After breakfast, enjoy a final snorkeling session at one of the park’s hidden gems, such as the vibrant reefs of Tatawa Besar or the sea turtle territory around Sebayur Island. The vessel returns to Labuan Bajo harbor by 11:00 AM, with airport transfers available for guests catching afternoon flights back to Bali.
All options include 2 nights accommodation, all meals, park fees and SiOra booking, ranger guides, and transfers.
